  •  “McPherson’s work remains perfectly at home at Irish Theatre of Chicago, a company currently restaging its 2010 production of “The Weir” with most of the original cast intact and directed in fine detail by Siiri Scott.” - Chicago Sun Times – Review by Mary Houlihan | Read Full Review
  • “The Weir” makes deceptively complex demands on the ensemble, abetted here by the ever-present integrating hand of director Siiri Scott.” - Chicago on the Aisle – Review by Larry Johnson | Read Full Review
  • “Irish Theater of Chicago lives up to its baptismal name of "Seanachai" (Gaelic for "storyteller" ) under the deft direction of Siiri Scott, who ensures that no moment is wasted in actorly posturing nor any narrative advancement rushed to its conclusion ( despite the performance time spanning a mere 90 minutes ).” - Windy City Times – Review by Mary Barnidge | Read Full Review

SAVAGE IN LIMBO
Notre Dame University | Written by John Patrick Shanley
REVIEW

  • “Under Siiri Scott’s direction, the production’s five actors inhabited their characters with visceral physicality and emotional honesty...Scott paces the production well so that the characters’ actions have an urgent undercurrent to them, as if this is the only night of their lives when they might glimpse an answer to that question” - Tribune – Review by Andrew S. Hughes | Read Full Review

DESIGN FOR LIVING

Notre Dame University | Written by Noel Coward
FEATURE
  • “Scott acknowledges the play's potential for raising hackles but thinks that today's audiences can tell the difference between moral statements and a lighthearted, funny play. "I think the play seems benign on the surface but titillates with a subversive ending," she says. "The play is not a recommendation for a 'design for living' but the choice for these three people. ” - Tribune – Feature by Evan Gillespie | Read Full Feature

GLASS MENAGERIE

Notre Dame University | Written by Tennesse Wiliams
REVIEW
  • “As directed by Siiri Scott, this well-chosen student cast never forces, never over-plays. They make few movements that aren't specifically demanded by the script. ” - Tribune – Review by Julie York Coppens | Read Full Review

THE DISPUTE
Notre Dame University | Written by Pierre de Marivaux
FEATURE
  • “We sort of have this very contrived, manicured world that we put everyone into,” Scott says about her setting for The Dispute. We’re looking at that time that was about Levittown (N.Y.) and the suburb, the ability to over-manipulate the world, so we manicure our lawns, and women are dressed in a very cinched way at the waist. The men wear what you would see on ‘Mad Men.’ ”

LOVE'S FIRE

Notre Dame University | Written by Eric Bogosian, Ntozake Shange, Marsha Norman, Tony Kushner, William Finn, Wendy Wasserstein and John Guare
REVIEW
  • “Director Siiri Scott and company have taken a huge risk with this material...These young actors have done it, by remembering the basics:  Listening. Reacting. Pursuing objectives. Raising the stakes." - Tribune – Review by Julie York Coppens | Read Full Review
